The popular black dress created by David Emanuel and wife Elizabeth of Princess Diana definitely attracted a lot of individuals as the dress went up for auction earlier this week and sold for a very large price.

The popular black dress with plunging neckline was nicknamed Daring Di.

The dress sold for more than $200,000 at an auction conducted in London.
Then 19-year old Lady Diana Spencer wore the black dress at a benefit event at Goldsmiths’ Hall in the City on March 1981, the time where it was officially announced that she got engaged to the Prince of Wales.

She stepped out of the limousine in the said gown and she immediately made newspaper headlines and was tagged as the most glamorous celebrity in the royal family.

During her wedding, she wore one of the most glamorous wedding gowns and once again made headlines for her fashion sense.
