It can now be confirmed. Multiple Grammy-winning artist Madonna will be debuting her fashion line for Macy’s. The line is called Material Girl and it will hit the stores this August.

Iconix Group, the company that Madonna had formed a partnership in this undertaking, stated that Material Girl will have fast-fashion junior collection that will become available exclusively in more than two hundred Macy’s stores nationwide and at the retail giant’s official website.

The statement revealed that the new line was inspired by pop star’s daughter Lourdes and was made into a reality via the help of a creative team hired by Madonna. The retail prices of the clothes range from $12 to $40. Handbags, footwear and jewelry are included in the collection.

Madonna has launched a line with Swedish retailer H&M three years ago which included lingerie.

Barneys New York opened its first store in Japan in the port city of Kobe on Friday. To make a splash in this Asian city, the company has collaborated with British supermodel Agyness Deyn to come up with specially designed fashion collection.
